As the name of vouchers says ,delivery note voucher
are used to record delivery of goods to customers .they are also called as delivery
challans .while passing delivery note voucher we can provide details such as order number ,terms of payment ,terms of
delivery, bill of lading lorry number ,
dispatch document number .
Explanation = Delivery note is passed only when stock is delivered
at the premises of supplier therefore the purpose of this note is to measure
actual stock hold by company In short whenever delivery note is passed stock is
reduced not when sales voucher is passed.
Receipt Note Voucher(Alt+F9)
Just like
Delivery note receipt note voucher is used to record consignment received from
supplier
Explanation = receipt note is passed only when stock
is received at premises of company therefore just like delivery note receipt
note purpose is to keep track of actual stock hold by company at any period of
time . In short whenever receipt note is passed stock is increased not when
sales voucher is passed.
Physical stock(Alt+F10)
Monthly
,quarterly and annually company makes physical stock verification to match
stock in hand with stock in books of accounts. While making physical stock
verification ,in cases of changes in the
inventory count one can simply create a voucher to adjust inventory.
Material In and Material Out Voucher(Ctrl+J or Ctrl+W)
These
material in and out voucher are used to keep track on inventory/stock sent for
job work and material received after job work .
Explanation = material in & out is passed when
material is sent at site or at job work . the purpose is to measure stock
@sites/job work.
Stock Query
Stock query is report where all information about stock
is provided Alias, Part No.,
Stock Group, Stock Category, available Closing Quantity & Balance, Cost
Price, Std. Selling Price, Costing Method and Market Valuation Method and so on.
Stock query report is divided into Purchases ,sales ,Godown/ Batch details ,item of same category
Explanation= stock query shows purchases
& sales stock item wise individually which helps to compare stock available
,purchased at what rate and sold at what rate . in short position of company
with respect to particular stock item.
